Miss May I is a metalcore band from Troy, Ohio. They have been signed to Rise Records since December 6, 2008 and have released two albums since then. Some bands like A Day to Remember seem to copy them and just hope that the same fans will like them too, but Miss May I is truly an out of the box band when it comes to metalcore. Although breakdowns can only be played so many different ways, Miss May I is a band that other bands like A Day to Remember look up to.

As I Lay Dying is a metalcore band from San Diego, California. They were founded in 2000 by vocalist Tim Lambesis. Extensive touring and the do-it-yourself attitude that the AILD members carried payed off for them when Metal Blade Records took an interest in them in 2003. Signed to Metal Blade Records, As I Lay Dying has released five studio albums, one split album, and one compilation album. Although As I Lay Dying is heavier and and has more of a traditional metal sound than any bands like A Day to Remember, many fans of ADTR also enjoy AILD.

Our Last Night is a post-hardcore band from Hollis, New Hampshire. The sound of this band is very modern. The guitars are crisp and the vocals aren’t too processed. The music has an overall groove to it that gets me bobbin’ my head. They definitely deserve to be on our list of bands like A Day to Remember

Next on our list of Bands like A Day to Remember is Parkway Drive. Parkway Drive is an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, New South Wales. They formed in 2003 and since 2010, Parkway Drive has released three full-length albums. These are called Killing with a Smile, Horizons, and Deep Blue, a DVD, an EP, entitled Don’t Close Your Eyes and two split albums.

The band has released a DVD, one EP album and three studio length albums. They were founded in 2005 and were first signed in 2007 by Tragic Hero records. That relationship lasted about two years and then the band was picked up by Fearless Records. They are currently still with Fearless records.
